My son is applying to New England College and I would like to hear pros and cons of going to this college.

I feel bad saying this, but I applied for the free t-shirt. I got accepted two weeks later and they gave me over $12,000 to study psychology there. My friend visited and said it looked like houses that were bought to be a college...and it was very un-college-like...I haven't visited, though.

NEC - located in Henniker, NH (The only Henniker in the world!) Yes, it is "like houses that were bought to be a college". If you want "Yankee" LA education, then this is it? They must be doing something right as it has been growing in the last 10 years. At $30K/year it's not inexpensive. They have a decent Div III Hockey Program. It is located in a geographic area where hiking, camping, ocean, lakes, cities, fishing, hunting, etc. are all within about 1-1.5 hours drive. There is a ski area nearby (5 minutes away)and I believe their ski team practices there.
