There were no posts on this board...so I thought I'd post one.

Well, I'm now part of the Davidson Class of 2008 thanks to ED1.

Anyone else get in, or are waiting to hear?

Hey everyone and anyone. Just found out I'm into Davidson ED! I'm wondering if anyone else got in too? There's hardly anyone ever on this board, but thought I'd post something anyway.

Hey Saxmaster, congratulations! It sounds like such a great school. My son is still applying RD. It sounds like a really great school...maybe not for every taste, but great academics, beautiful, lots of opportunities for your music. Best of luck for a really happy 4 years! Two students from my son's high school are sophomores there--both are athletes, as your post notes, and both are enjoying it. Both are from California.

I got in Davidson ED. I spent a month there over the summer taking some classes (lit. class and political science class) and I loved it. The proffesors I had were wonderful. If any rising seniors are really interested in Davidson look into the July Experience program.

my stats... hmm
1410 sat1 (760V 650M)
sat2s: 800W, 780Lit, 720s on French & US Hist
GPA 3.59 uw 4.3 w. i had a significant number of c's (think 7 for the first 7 semesters, lol) but they were all in the same type of course if that makes any sense.
president of student government, captain of debate, some random leadership awards... great recs from teachers. full IB diploma candidate (i just got it!) as well as 9 ap tests taken soph and jr years.
make sure you focus on the little essays - the honor code one is a doozy to write. i'd recommend starting on the app BEFORE the night before it's due (i did my entire application in three hours, jan 2 9 pm - 12 am submitted it at 12:01 AM on january 3 - it was due jan 2). that was a lot of pressure for no good reason.
my dad went to davidson too. i applied regular decision.
