Here goes-
Washington University is my number 1 choice. I am mostly worried about my scores. I have a 30 ACT and a 1390 SAT. I have an 800 Writing satII, however. I have a 4.0 (unweighted--all A+'s) and I am 4/462. I will have 9 AP's by graduation. As for ec's, they're pretty normal, nothing special--Pres. and founder of club, v.p. of latin club, student gov, mock trial, varsity gymnastics (9-10), club gymnastics (9-10), volunteering (315+hours), etc. I am a legacy because my cousin went there and worked in the admissions office a few years back.
Advice would be greatly appreciated

uhhh, I think you'll get in. I got in with a 24/346 rank and a 33 ACT. I play basketball and worked, and I also did some marching band back in the day, but I didn't really have any volunteer or leadership stuff. I somehow received a sweet scholarship, too. Question- Did you apply ED?

no i did not apply Ed. I got an updated rank and I am now 2/460--if that really matters much. You're 33 is very good. I am worried mostly about my dumb scores. What kind of scholarship did you apply? Are you a current student at Wash u?

dbrider9- what scholarship did you get? if it was an academic one, how do you already know if apps were just due on the 15th?

I got a scholarship that everyone is considered for when applying. I didn't do anyhting extra for it. It's the Thomas H. Eliot Scholarship, and I originally received 23,700 a year. My mom called up the office with a question about my dad's future payments ( he doesn't live with me and has gotten on some hard times) and they said they would give me 26,000 a year with some more loans. They must have money to burn over there; that's why I consider myself pretty lucky.

Did you find that out ( about receiving the scholarship ) when you were offered admission? BTW, Congrats = ) You must be psyched!

I received the financial aid package two days after the admission offer. And thanks, I'm pysched, and I know I'm going to have to work especially hard now to prove I deserved it.
