I sent in my application mid december, but as of today, my application status page still shows that they have not received/processed my application! Is anyone else having this problem?Please respond, because I am getting worried my application got lost.

yea, the same thing with me except i sent mine in 3 weeks ago. but i sent my supplement + fee in a couple months ago, and it does show that they have those.

I would call the school. The school has always been prompt and on the ball in relationship to my kid's app.

Wash U was extremely friendly and welcoming of inquiries. When you log on, go to the link that connects you to your application processor if you want to check status. Why worry when you can know?
A phone call is also okay. Don't forget, they track your interest, following up is one way to show some.

are you sure they track calls? i mean, if i call to check my status, are they gonna really record that i called just for that?

I believe they track every contact no matter how small. Plus: (a) calling to check status shows interest and b) calling to check status reduces your stress level by confirming that the application is complete or letting you know you need to do something. Why wonder when you can be sure that your application is/is not complete?
In short, there is no down side to calling to check or e mailing the processor.

I got into Wash U ED and I had problems with their application status online website. It is not updated frequently. A simple phone call could not hurt.

I sent my application around Dec 22th, and got a noficaition letter 3 days later and a "file complete" letter 2 days later. Maybe they like me better. Heh.

for the phone calls, if i call and ask them a general question, they're not going to know it's me unless they ask. so 1) DO they ask?, and 2) if they dont, should i tell them who i am? i really am trying to show major interest.

YOU NEED TO GIVE THEM ATLEAST YOUR NAME OR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER FOR THEM TO CHECK YOUR STATUS, BOBBY, SO OBVIOUSLY THEY WILL HAVE IT ON RECORD BECAUSE THEY NEED SOMEONE TO LOOK UP YOUR FILE, SO BASICALLY YOU ARE ASKED SOMETHING THAT INFORMS THEM WHO YOU ARE.

if you chose to read my question, you might have noticed i wasnt talking about checking status specifically. i was talking about GENERAL questions (what are the students like, how are your science programs etc). sorry if that was not totally clear. thanks for posting in caps btw.
