I'd say that your chances are pretty good with those stats if you took the most challenging courses available at your school, even though your Writing SAT II is low.

Thanks...Yeah...I guess those courses are challenging...4/6 possible APs. My only concern is that I won't be able to afford it since they don't offer fin. aid to RD applicants, only FASFA, which is only helpful to those who are in need of a very large ammount of money.
Anyone else?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say...
"My only concern is that I won't be able to afford it since they don't offer fin. aid to RD applicants, only FASFA,"
Financial aid offers do not differ whether you apply E.D. or R.D.

NYU only offers Need-Based Financial aid (the Profile) to Early Decision applicants.

Not true.

Could you direct me to a link that tells me otherwise?...I can't seem to find anything of the contrary...AND, there's no profile code on CollegeBoard to forward the Profile to NYU...I imagine there was at one point, but then that code was probably removed after ED decisions.
I'm not trying to argue here...I'm just frantic in finding the much needed money to attend NYU. Thanks.

Are you saying that E.D. applicants get need-based aid but R.D. applicants don't? Or are you saying that E.D. applicants do not get merit-based aid? You're not being clear. In either case, it isn't true. All NYU applicants are considered for need-based as well as merit-based aid. Here's a link for the Admissions office b/b where you can post your question if you don't believe me:

I have classmates who got in E.D. and some who got in R.D. All have financial aid of some sort. I will tell you, though, that NYU does not come even close to meeting full need for applicants.

Thanks.
Yeah...I've heard they're skimpy on cash for the people who need it.

Yeah...NYU needs the FAFSA to see if you need aid from NYU, regardless of the govt's financial opinion of you...And you're automatically considered for scholarships if you're admitted.
Anyone else? Chances?

Sounds like an uncommon major...And you're certainly prepared for it by your HS classes...Go for it...I think you'll get in.
