While I'm only a junior in high school, I have placed Michigan on the top of my list of schools I want to apply to.

I just have one question regarding how other people who go to the school have done this.

I currently live in New York, a plane trip's ride to Michigan. Over vacations such as Thanksgiving or in between semester breaks, I feel as if I would want to fly home to be with my family. However, plane tickets do get expensive and can add up in costs. How do other students deal with this? Do they stay on campus during vacations? Do they figure out other methods to fly home? I was curious, as this is a big question for me if I decide to eventually go to the school.

P.S., I don't know why they put that title on the thread... It seems that all my threads get that title. Please ignore.

Put this thread in the parents section and you will probably get replies.

Students in general leave college during winter/summer breaks to be home with their family or just go on vacation. I don't think costs are a big deal if you book early. Even if you do plan on flying, that $130 is well worth the time spent sharing experiences.
