So is SUNY New Paltz a good school? Does anyone here know anything about it? And how hard is it to get in from out of state?

From what I have hear SUNY New Paltz is a very liberal school. I read in a newspaper article about a month ago that the school took the town over!

This school accept less than 40% of freshmen applicants, which isn't as hard to get into as some SUNY schools, but is still pretty selective.

LOL..very liberal huh. Well, I got in, but I'm trying to decide if I should go there. It seems really awesome, but I need to go visit. And its tuition is a good price. Is there anyone else who knows about it?

I'm a jr now, but I went to visit two schools on fri (2/20). I visited SUNY New Paltz and SUNY Albany. Anyway I took some notes on the school and this is what I found out:

New Paltz- Small quaint town. Small school. Looks very historic. Smaller class size. BEAUTIFUL scenery and campus. More homer (and bigger) dorms. More homer caf. Has a pool. Has a state of the art exercise room. Smaller campus. 38% acceptance rate. 1100 SAT. GPA 92.

Thanks for replying. I have decided to go there, just from all the nice things I've heard about it. I still need to visit, but at least I've taken the virtual tour. My payment has been set, so I hope I'll like it. Anyone else here going to New Paltz?
