NYU is one of my top choices, but I am not sure what my chances are there.
Here are my stats:
Class rank: 1/60
GPA: 4.0 out of 4.0
Classes: 5 college classes, AP English and AP History, and 2 electives
Extra curiculars: President of Youth and Gov. club, french club, and science club. 5 year member of the band. member of beta club.
Work Experience as an assitant to an optetrician
SAT 1: 1120, but that was on my first try.
If anyone can offer me any insight into my chances for admission, I would really appreciate

Your SAT I score is going to hurt you. Have you taken any SAT II's because NYU strongly recommends them. If you haven't already, and you're applying for '04, then it's too late because December scores are the latest they'll consider. What college are you applying to?

I am currently a junior so I'll apply for fall 2005. Right now I'm unsure of what college I'll apply to because I'm not sure to just go ahead and apply for Stern first or wait a year or 2 and then apply for it.

If Stern is where you want to end up, apply there as a freshman... internal transfers are very unlikely as Stern recently changed its transfer policy.
But I speak as somebody in GSP who applied to CAS and is planning to transfer to Gallatin. lol... good luck!
