Does CalTech have a good economics program? I know that it's a tech school, but is it like MIT in the respect that MIT has Sloan? Does it have majors such as Economics and Math or Economics and Statistics?

The dept is social science (http://www.hss.caltech.edu/ss), covering econ, psych, law, anthropology, poli sci, and history. Very unique dept heavy on game theory and experimental work; latter used to be rare but is now one of the hot fields in economics. It's no MIT though; their econ dept is 1 or 2 in the nation, independently of Sloan. If you want to do econ grad school, do a math major and take the micro/macro/econometrics core courses.
