all right... what do you think.. i applied ED as a classics major. 3.6 junior year (with AP Vergil, AP English) , 3.8 senior year (with AP Lyric and AP European History). Sats.... 1150. i know.... sat II eng 650. My reccomendation was awesome though, and everyone tells me my essay was awesome (lets just say its gonna be different than probably almost anyone applyin ED).
also ive been on the school newspaper since freshman year, sophomore and junior year i was copy editor for it, and senior year im the editor in chief. all four years on yearbook, junior year i was junior editor, senior year i am managing editor. national honors society, and ive won a bunch of latin and writing awards too. also ive "gone out of my way" to get in contact with a couple classics professors and to visit nyu itself. the dean of cas told me he'd keep "an eye out for my application" - that may mean absolutely nothing though.
obviously you cant tell me if im gettin in or not, but what are my chances?

It depends on the major, but I would unfortunately have to say you have no chance.
