- Is Persian/Iranian background URM or something?
Your stats are good, but you need to keep promises to friends in order to get into MIT, like help edit their essays...

Arash, tear up all your other applications because
you're officially a MIT Class of 2008 student!

Do you know Arup Sarma? He went to RSI. I used to live in Lawrence, BTW.
Anyways, you have some sweet stats there. Valedictorian, even (I'm too lazy to be that). I certainly hope you do make it. Being Persian could certainly help you right now. And being from Kansas helps geographic diversity, though whether or not they care is highly doubtful.

Haha Arash, you won't be vale if you don't start tearing up bio

Me...me-
I actually know of Arup and have heard his name quite a few times. Pretty sure he goes to Shawnee Mission East. I also know he's a Westinghouse semi. Just a guess, but RSI probably played a role in that. Anyway, good luck to you as well.

BTW, do you know if Arup is applying to MIT EA/RD?

and I just noticed I didn't mention working for NASA this summer...
I'm hoping this might be something to push me over to the admit pile EA, but from what I've seen, EA is very, very difficult.

Arup is Stanford EA. RSI did play a role in Westinghouse semi. As in, he submitted his RSI project. :-) Great kid. Hope you do well.

yup. RSI :-D It most definitely helps out, just in development overall as well as in getting opportunities such as this.
