What do you think my chances are of being admitted? Should I think of going elsewhere?

Applied on Sept. 8th to LSA

3.7 GPA UW

AP US History, AP English, AP Spanish, AP US Govt, AP Comp Govt, AP Environmental Science

Took a Sociology Class at CC this summer, and currently enrolled in Calculus & Poly Sci for this semester.

26 ACT (Some have said UMich combines highest scores, if this is true, I'd have a 27.)

Brother & sister both currently attend

In-state

Class rank is 74/581 or maybe it was 71/598 (I can't remember)

I attend a large public school. Last year, 41 out of 60 applicants were accepted from my school.

My EC's include things such as Editor-in-Chief of Yearbook, Senior Class VP, Spanish Club President, Junior Class VP, Sophomore Class President, JV Tennis Captain, Founder/President of "DoSomething" Club, Student Council, Marching Band, NHS, ITS, and so forth...

I've won a slew of national & state awards for yearbook as well, such as Columbia Gold Crown's and Quill & Scroll Gold Key's...

If you want anymore information, please don't hesitate to ask.

Did you take SATs? Minority? Athlete ticket?

With high GPA, Michigan residency, and decent ECs, you have a VERY good chance from what i've read. Read the thread on this forum with 98+ posts on it that extends to last year. It has some nice links to evaluation tools to measure your chances. (I know that michigan residency gives you 20 points toward a 100 point admission scale and a 3.7 GPA gets you somewhere like 40 points... so that's 60 easy... maybe legacy for you +4 pts...etc)

I got a 97 =\
