You may want to read the Yale Daily News INsider's Guide as well. It paints a pretty strange picture of the school ... I would think it's an unusual enough place (no grades, etc) that your daughter would want to do some research to find out how its grads do in grad school admissions and job searching.

It's a really interesting intellectual school. The professors are more interested in the students learning then assessing their learning. When you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. The campus is filled with really cool individuals who refuse to conform to the "ideal" college stereotypes. The students are very friendly, as are the professors. Their are a lot of "free spirits" that go there. I went to visit last year and LOVED it. It is such a fun atmosphere and is filled with really cool people. I highly recommend that anyone apply or even visit it.

We visited this school, and we were horribly disappointed. They accept many students who are unable to handle the freedom and never completed their division work. The facilities are ugly, the library is minute, and the management seems very lax. For example, students were sleeping in the dorm lounges due to lack of housing. We did not love it. We heard that the neuroscience professor is outstanding, but the other weaknesses really turned us off.
