Very laid back, rapidly improving, beautiful campus, not as big as the other two main washington campuses. Becoming more difficult to get into, but only in comparison to before. Really great small city. Good, but not yet great, state school.

I've heard that Western Washington University is in some ways better than Washington State University, although WSU IS a state university, is that true?

the general acceptance requirements are higher (gpa/sat) at western than wsu.
