what are my chances of getting in the Babson?

By Babsonstudent (Babsonstudent) on Saturday, March 06, 2004 - 05:26 pm: Edit

Soccer team is decent, it's very active, all the soccer players are pretty tight knit.

Hockeyguy, I'd say 60 to 70% chance of getting in. You are active in a lot of things which is good. I'd reccomend visiting the school first to see if you are really interested.

In terms of cirriculumn, first two yrs are very intense, the first semester is hard, because the workload will be a huge adjustment.
The school has it's own culture, it'll be significantly different then any other school, so you'll have to decide if the difference is a good thing or a bad thing.

If you see college as a preparation for career goals, it's an excellent choice, though be prepared to make sacrifices.

If you are looking for the "college experience," it'll be a vastly different experience is all I can say.

Is anyone looking forward to tommorows results. Iam so nervous, is it that hard to get into, and do they look at other stuff besides SAT's?

Could I get in to Babson (It's my number 1 choice and I will aply early decision)

GPA: 3.57 overall end of junior year will most likely rise to 3.7 + senior year

Junior Year GPA: 3.8+
Senior year GPA: 4.0+

Very competitive public school

Rising grades

4-5 A.P. Courses: U.S. History, U.S. Gov + Pol, Spanish, Computer Science and maybe Environmental Science

Will get an A in A.P. U.S. History

SAT: 1250+

Class Rank: 3rd decile (no exact rank) could be top 25% although it would still read 3rd decile

Great E.C's and teacher recommendations

President of FBLA
V.P. Debate Team
Captain of Tennis Team
Might be member of National Honor Society senior year
Sectionally Ranked Tennis Player by USTA New England
Played piano for 10 years: recieved two certifications by National Piano Players Guild Auditions
Tutored inner city kids
Attended a summer enrichment program at Yale University
Job: Teaching tennis in summer of junior year
Selected to National Society of High School Scholars (I think it might be a scam)

I visited Babson and loved it

Took both Business Law and Business Managment and recieved A's in both courses

Could somebody tell me my chances thanks alot!
