I am a student at Michigan State University and will be graduating next year. I will have between two or three degrees, depending on whether I want to stay through next fall or that spring. The degrees will be a BA in Telecommunications-Digital Media Arts and Technology, and a BA in English-Film, and possibly a BA in Psychology. I have a 3.3xx right now, but should have a 3.5+ by time I graduate. I also have started a club of screenwriters.
I would like to get into a writing program at a grad school, but don't know my chances. Right now I am leaning toward screenwriting but I would like to partake in novel writing as well. The schools I have been looking at, with decent to great screenwriting programs, have been: UCLA, USC, Boston U., NYU, Columbia U., Chapman U., Florida State U., Loyola Marymount U., the U. of Miami, and the U. of Texas. I haven’t looked at all of the schools with creative writing programs (there are so many), but I will look at more in the future.
Any recommendations on other schools or thoughts on my acceptability into the aforementioned would be greatly cherished.
