I really love Bryn Mawr College, and was wondering what my chances were (I'm applying Early Decision)
SATs-1300 (700v 600m)
6 APs by graduation
a summer of college courses
a b+ average at a competative private school
three years of a varsity sport
community service
political club
amnesty international
writing
a couple english awards
varsity sports
helped plan a political conference at school
Please help, I have no idea what my chances are.

From just glancing at the information you provided, I'd say you have a pretty good chance at Bryn Mawr, especially applying Early Decision. As long as you show them that it is definitely your first choice (ie: visit the campus if you can, do an interview, etc.) you're fine.

Thanks! Anyone else know my chances? I'm taking the SAT again and hope to get a 1350-1400, but that's not a guarantee. I vited the campus a few times and had an interview...I'm going to spend the night in a few weeks so I hope that can convince them I'm serious about Bryn Mawr and that it is my first choice. Right now I am just so in love with the school, but I'd really some to know more opinions of my chances so I don't get my hopes up too high. Thank you.

You definitely have a good shot, ive known people with lower records than yours getting in. You especially ahve a good chance if youve taken difficult course loads.
good luck

You're fine. I too had a friend with a lower sat get in. Your grades are fine, you play varsity sports, you've taken college courses over the summer, you have awards, and ec's. You've got a great chance. Good Luck!

Thanks, that makes me feel a whole lot better. I just took the SATs again today, so hopefully they will improve a bit. Anyone else know my chances? Sorry to keep asking but I'm so worried.

Clockworkorange, I have no idea about your chances but I wanted to say I love your attitude. Unlike most people on this board who say they just KNOW they will get a higher score when the take the SAT again, you are realistic. To me, you come across in your posts as a thoughtful person who is not harboring a self-inflated ego...just the kind of person that would be a terrific fit with Bryn Mawr. I suspect that Bryn Mawr's adcom committee will see the same thing in you and that will vastly help your chances - best of luck to you!!!

I agree with Carolyn about your great attitude. I also think if you are so enthusiastic about a school, it will come across in your application and your chances of getting in will be enhanced. Bryn Mawr is a great school, hope you get in.
I think you have good chances too.
