Hi, Im an international student, study in international school in Asia.

I've already created a conversation in August 2004 section.
Anyways,, should I roll a dice with my ugly stat for these schools?
Florida Institute Of technology
Rochester Institute Of technology
Worcester Polytech
Hartford
Drexel
SUNY Stony Brook
SUNY Buffalo
Penn State (Berks)
Virginia Tech
Mc Gill
Univ of Victoria

my stat: gpa 2.7 (UW)
9th: 2.0, 2.1 (I screwed up my freshman year)
10th: 2.89, 2.98
11th: 3.0, 3.26 (shows up trend but it's still low)
SAT: 1310 (V:550, M:760)
SAT II: Biology 540 (planning to take math iic and writing )
AP Bio: 3
Courses taken in High: (3AP courses and some honors)
English 4
Mathematics: 5
Science: 5
Social Studies: 3
PE, Choir, Computer etc...
Plus Extra curriculars

what do u guys think?? I know that there isn't any safety school here,, but I want to know which one has a good shot (Im looking for enginnering as a major)

I don't know about most of those schools, but I don't think you have a great shot at McGill--they basically told me that they want an applicant to have at least a 620 on both sections of the SAT or it's not worth your time. The problem with McGill's app is that there isn't an essay for you to explain what went wrong freshman year, or to talk about any extracurriculars--it's all about grades and GPA. It's worth a shot though

However I think you have a good shot at UVic, because if I recall correctly they only count junior and senior year grades, and your SATs are good. Plus uvic is a gorgeous school

I think you in at drexel and mcgill too. You definitely have the SATs fro both of them,
