I know that I should not stress about this that much but all I have are my high school freshmen year grades they weren't that great, but I want some addivice on what I should do to get into a good collage.
I want to apply to NYU
Wellesley
Smith
Columbia university (long shot)
UCLA

Here's my situation I attend a small privet high school in california, it's not the greates school ever but it's something. The most A.P classes you can take soph year are none, jr year 2 or 3,and senior 4 or 3.

Last year I got a 3.7
I took Algebra II (H) which is a big thing in my school.
English I (H)
and other classes.
This year I'm taking
Pre-cal
English II (H).
and other classes that you need to grad from h.S.
E.C
varsity track
varsity soccer
Ecology club
Salt
CSF
G.A.A (sports)
honor roll
award for writting an essay
certificates for S.S, Religion and English.
50 hrs of community service
SOPH YEAR

E.C's
student government (publicity)
eology club
csf
ambassadors
amnesty international
G.A.A
international club
salt
math center
(these are all the clubs we have at our school)
varsity xcountry and hopefully v track v soccer
and hopefully more

SO what should I do differently????????

I'm also 1st generation, my parents are immagrants and only reached the 6th grade, I also am a teachers aid at an elem shool, I went to skid-row, and did locks of love twice!
I also help my mom and dad with our business

oh yeah and I'm taking the hardest courses my school has to offer for a sophmore. I was chossen to be part of some science boat trip, and a rememberence day for Jews

you have a lot of ECs but i wonder what your gpa and sat scores are/will be. keep it up!

btw, you spelled "private" wrong
