So I'm smart, but not stellar. Is it still worth it to apply EA to Harvard or am I better off just waiting until January to turn in my application? If I should even try...
I'm a senior in high school in Tallahassee, Florida. I'm interested in Literature/Creative Writing as majors.
I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA, My SAT is 1530: 770 verbal, 760 math. PSAT: 206. I have taken 7 AP classes, and passed 6. (bio-5, world hist- 5, chem- 4; eng lang-4, latin vergil-3, phys-1, and us hist-3). I have taken all of the most challenging classes available at my high school(which is public) and i am currently taking ap latin lit, ap english lit, ap calculus BC, ap gov, ap econ, greek 1, and religion in the US(at FSU).
My extra curriculars include:
crew(4 years)(state champions and winners of various other races, also 60+ service hours from helping out at camp)
competitive latin(4 years), officer 1 yr (two firsts and a second at regionals, two seconds, a fourth, and a seventh a states)
youth in government(3 years), officer 2 yrs (best bill award)
exchangettes(service club)(3 years)
math club, book club(50+ service hours), and environmental club as well, and I was in national honor society 10th and 11th
merit scholar commendation
egregii discipuli(latin honor club, 2 yrs)
I have also held jobs every summer and also the spring of junior year.
