Hey all. Just want to know what you all thought of my chances at Wellesley.

I'm seriously considering applying ED, because the accept rate is quite a bit higher. And I'm pretty sure Wellesley have the attributes I deem the most important. I go to a decent public school.

My Stats:
Grades - 3.5/3.6 unweighted. 4.00-ish weighted. Hovering around top 10%. 2 C's (I can see your collective wince.. pulled it up to A and B the next semester), rest A's, lots B's. 8 AP's by High School grad. 4 or 5 more Honor classes.

Tests - SAT 1490 (780V, 710M), Writing 770, Chinese 800, US 750, Math IIC 700 (probably not going to use). APs: English Lang. 5, US 5, Statistics 4, Euro History 4.

EC's - Congressional and State Assembly internships, Student Ambassador to another country, 3 years Journalism (writer), 4 years Mock Trial, volunteer club, business leadership conference

So bring it on. What's my chances for ED and Regular?

hey, your stat is great, although i don't know too much about the college of your interest. I have a quesstion, for you. How did you bcome a student ambassador to another country/ thanks!

ps. keep your math iic.. you need math either way, although its not a "fantastic" score.

I think you have an excellent shot at Wellesley, despite your GPA, which is somewhat lower than your test scores would suggest it should be. Maybe there's an explanation for the C's (will they show up on your transcript if they are not final grades) which your counselor could write about. Otherwise, I think RD might be a good idea for you, so you can show your seriousness as a student in the first semester. Congratulations on great test scores. Good luck.
