I'm an asian-american male in Oregon.
Here are my stats:
3.98 GPA Unweighted (my school doesn't weight)
SAT 1: 1550 (800 Math, 750 Verbal)
SAT 2 Writing: 710
I have taken AP Chemistry, Physics, US History, English and Calculus
Violist in youth symphony
Violist in school orchestra (we were ranked 2nd in the state)
Pianist (competes at reigional/state level)
Track: JV Pole vault, 3 years
Tennis: Varsity, 1 year
Church Youth Group
I teach a strings (violin, cello, viola) class at an elementary school.
I have also attended JHU Center for Talented Youth for 2 summers.
I was wondering about my chances at top schools, Yale, MIT, Stanford, Duke, Berkeley etc.
One major concern, however, is that I was suspended in middle school for fighting. It was a minor, isolated incident, and I have not recieved any kind of diciplinary action in high school. Will my middle school suspension effect my chances greatly?
Please help, I'm worried to death that incident may jeoperdize my acceptance at top schools.

LOL OMG LOL, middle school, who gives a crap about that? They won't even know about it. Youre stats are great and I think its tight u steach strings at an alementary school as volunteer work. Eagle Scout shows some leadership; however lack of leadership "thing" may hurt. What is your role in the orchestra and symphony? Regardless, you definately show commitment to your ECs which is great. MIT, u need some math and science stuff to get in, research, awards etc? Whatever, you will get into a top 25 school, I won't even question your academics. Good luck and chill. btw i also play violin.

Dont worry about your suspension. The fact that you ONLY got a 790 on your Math SAT II will hurt you more than a mid-school suspension, lol
...but seriously, are you really worried about it? There's no way that schools will know about your suspension. even if they did, it would be negligible in the apps process (I'm pretty sure)...

A few schools,(caltech) specifically asks "Were you suspended from any school."
But most, like MIT and Yale, ask "Were you ever suspended, dismissed etc." So would a "no" answer be ok?
