Discus: What Are My Chances?: August 2002 Archive: Animal Science at Cornell

Hey, I'm a rising senior who will be applying ED to Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Science this fall as an animal science major. My stats are 1370 SAT Is (700V, 670M), SAT IIs: 720 Bio, 700 Writing, 630 Math IC(retaking IC in October). I'm ranked about 5th out of 160, and have tons of ECs, including: All County Choir 5th through 11th grade, Area All State Choir 11th and probably 12th grade(if accepted), and All-State Choir 12th grade(if accepted-I find out in August). I am treasurer of the Drama Club at my school, and fiction editor of the school's literary magazine. I've also volunteered at a vet clinic for about 120 total hours, and am now actually employed there. This summer I will be volunteering at a horse farm, and working at the vet clinic. I also have waited tables since 9th grade for the catering company at a local college, and last summer I had a temp job at the same college woring in its stock room. I am also a New York State resident(which, if I'm not mistaken, should help because Ag & Ls is one of Cornell's State schools and they accept a large number of NYSers). I would appreciate any advice or opinions. Thanks in advance.
