I was just wondering, if you get a 4 on an AP Test, are colleges like HYPSM simply not impressed, or does it work in your favor? I highly doubt that a 4 could hurt you, but correct me if I'm wrong.

A 4 is still good. As long as you stay in the 4 or 5 range, I think you should be okay.

I'm wondering about that...
If a 4 is worth mentioning or not. I'm really not sure. But if anyone had any feedback, I'd appreciate it, too.

It depends. If you are applying to schools of engineering and you got a 4 in Calculus AB or Physics, I would not mention it. But if you got a 4 in English or History, they may find it interesting.

And vice versa. If your declared interest is to study History or Poli Sci and you got a 4 in Math or in Physics, they may be impressed by your well rounded interest and potential. But if you got a 4 in History, they may think it a bad sign of things to come.
