Does anyone know if UC's will still weigh SAT II's two times as heavily even WITH their new comprehensive review? Thanks

Some UCs use a point system where each achievement (GPA, SAT, etc) is given a certain amount of points (like UCSD, UCI). Others, like UCLA and Berkeley, have people review the application as a whole and then give it a grade. Generally each SAT2 is given as much weight as the SAT1 total.

What about UC Davis? (So essentially, SAT II's are weighed more heavily...)

I'm not sure what system UC Davis follows... but in a Princeton Review meeting I went to last year, we were told that the sum of your SAT2 scores is given 3 times as much weight as the SAT1 total in ALL UCs. Comprehensive review wouldn't change that because it simply means everything in every application is taken into consideration (SAT scores, grades, ECs, etc). good luck...

Thanks, Mzinn. You too! Which UC's did you apply to? I applied to UCSD, UCD, and UCLA...just one more day...Gawd, I hope I get into at least one. LoL

applied to UCLA, Berkeley, UCSD, UCI. So far I got into UCI. If I get into just one of the other 3 I'll be celebrating.
