Hi I'm a freshman, I'm applying, next year, to a magnet school. "The Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics." What are my chances of being accepted?
GPA: 4.0 Unweighted, #1/481.
SAT I: 1380, (retaking it in April)
PSAT: 180, (definetely retaking this one next year)
ACT: 27 (7th Grade)(retaking next year)
Key Club (Vice President)(About 50+ Hrs. of Community Service)
Multi Cultural Club (Freshman Class Representative)
SUN Club (Historian)(About 10+ Hrs. of Community Service)
Mu Alpha Theta (Member)
French Club (Member)
Staff Writer for School Newspaper
I tutor on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Freshman Varsity Basketball Player
Member of the Red Cross High School Youth Council
Piano (8 years, play at concert level)

Dude, magnet schools aren't THAT hard to get into. I don't even know why you ask about your chances. You're a shoo-in.

Let me give you some advice. Have some fun in High school. It's not all trying to get into an Ivy league school. Hell, you're applying for a HIGH SCHOOL. Go do something crazy, fun, stupid or any combination of three. You only get to go through High school once. Stay smart, but have fun.

Yea, basketball is tight, but the magnet school I'm applying to doesn't have athletic teams. That really sucks.
