What is so appealing about it?

NYU is 61-39 female for its 2001 class (latest
stats I've got).
It's a pretty decent school. It would be on
my daughter's short list except that ballet
classes--theirs are pretty damned good--are open
to Dance majors only...and my daughter wants
to major in Political Science or English.
So it's not on the list at all.

The reasons I applied
in no poarticular order
1. NYC
2. Good Academics
3. the 61% female student body
4. Good english and business programs
5. the weather
6. away from home and relatives
the drawbacks
1. No true campus
2. Engineering and Computer programs not highly recognized.

reasons that i applied:
1)NYC
2)dad works nearby so i can check on him once in a while
3) not too far away,not so near either.
4) academics pretty good
5) name recognition
6) crush is in NY. =P <----- well, not so much of an influence now.
