I just found out that my private, quaker school has a three-year 1210 SAT average. I'm not surprised; we have lots of brilliant kids, lots of dumb kids, and a few in-betweens. My question is this: is this seen as a decent average score for a private high school? And no, I don't want kids joking and saying that it sucks, because I know it doesn't suck. Is it good, though? What is the average score at other schools, private and public? By the way, my school sends 100% to 4-year colleges

most public schools have 900-1100 SAT averages, and that's not with 100% taking them. Keep that in mind- a's private school has 100% taking them, even the really, REALLY dumb kids.

1210 is way above decent.......i dont know if your one of these stuck up preppy kids but a 1210 SAT school avg is great.

my schools avg SAT is around a 750 so dont feel bad. highest score this year was a 1320 and 2nd highest was 1180 the rest were 1100 and down.

ouch. don't get discouraged, though. many colleges look favorably on kids at underperforming schools- goes under the "special hardship" file. can be up there with poor economic status, race, death in family, etc.

My school has a 1310 average. 2 people go to stanford per year (370 avg. class size).

1480 SAT I average
750 SAT II average
collegiate high school - only graduates 50/year

sends most seniors to ivies (about 65%). the rest goto MIT, Stanford or the LACs.
