I am looking to transfer to a school in the northeast with a great business program. I am not worried much with cost, but just not too expensive like $40,000 a year. School size also is not an issue.

1. How long have you been at cc?
2. What is your transcript (hs) like?
3. What do you do for part-time work?
4. SATs?

CC almost 2 years
2.2 GPA high school
Deliver gift baskets
950 SAT
Top Jesuit Prep School
High school won't play a major role in the admissions process.

Although your current pursuits are certainly more important than High School, schools (at least all the ones I applied to) will still want to see things from HS as well as SATs. I'm not trying to discourage you or be argumentative--I'm just relating my own experiences, which are anecdotal.

UVA, for instance, pulled records from nearly 20 years ago and asked about them.

The 2 years at cc is great and your GPA is quite good. You may wish to try the SATs again (you can take them anytime you like) as I'm sure you can improve on your score.

Have you narrowed down a list of possible schools? One can't really give feedback without an idea of where you might be considering going...

Good Luck!

Thank You for responding. I was thinking about taking the SAT once more, but a member of the admissions board at NYU Stern told me that I shouldn't. They were only a means of showing how I would do in college. Obviously i'm doing very well. My list of schools are:
University of Pittsburgh
NYU Stern
Fairfield University
Uconn
CUNY Baruch
Sacred Heart
UNC Chapel Hill
Northeastern
Wharton
University of Virginia

i think you've got a fairly decent shot at most of those schools with that gps. be certain that you essays and recs are REALLY strong because they rely on them a lot for transfers. best of luck

I would not go for northeastern honestly. You are not getting value for your money!

Just something to consider

35,000.0 to be a number on a huge campus
where you can pay the same amount and go to Vandy

Does anyone know anybody that has got into ucla or ucberkeley with a 3.0 coming from a community college? Also, that has done a lot of community service and worked full time?

3.7 is respectable, but i doubt it is wharton caliber. NYu sterns and UNC is doubtful, the other schools i think you have a good shot

Reach- Wharton, Sterns, UNC

Everything else is safety/match imo
