What do you mean, most people don't think APs until their senior year? I've been taking them since sophomore year and I'm "average". That's a load of crap.
You can probably get into GWU and BU with that SAT score though it's nothing exceptional for their schools. It's towards the top end of the range but not above it.
Good luck, GWU rocks!

um, her sat scores are not near the top end of the range for BU at all. BU's mid 50 this year is 1250 - 1400.

I'm with Hollaratme. At my school underclassmen RARELY take AP classes. The only one that most people take junior year is US AP (Calculus and Stats are available if you're really ahead in math and AP sciences are available if you take Chemistry and Physics one year). You don't even take AP Euro till senior year.

Right, Hollaratme, I meant on a national level it seems that a lot of juniors and some sophomores take APs. But you're right, many don't start taking until senior year. And the good thing about this for you is that GWU and BU unlike many of the ivy league schools don't require that many APs.
Cheerios, I meant only for GWU.
I definately think you have a chance at GWU. Lord knows I hope you do as my stats are similar and GWU is towards the top of my list. Great school!

Is Elliot harder to get into? Great... that's where I want to go. I suppose it would be, as the school's known for it's International Studies department.
