What does "UC" or "URM" stand for?

UC stands for "University of California", as in UCLA, UCB, UCSD, etc. URM stands for "under-represented minority", as in blacks, Latinos, and Native Americans (labeled as such because their representation on college campuses is relatively lower than that of their populations as a whole in America).

RSI stands for the Research Science Institute; a summer research program run by MIT that accepts very few applicants, is considered EXTREMELY prestigious, and is allegedly a guaranteed ticket for acceptance to MIT. USAMO stands for the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad.
