SO I WAS ACCEPTED TO BOTH MIT AND HARVARD UNDER THE EARLY ACTION PROGRAM... MY PROBLEM IS THAT I DON'T KNOW WHICH SCHOOL I SHOULD CHOOSE... MY HEART IS WITH MIT, BUT I WANT TO MAJOR IN BIOCHEMISTRY AND MIT DOES NOT HAVE A BIOCHEM MAJOR AND HARVARD DOES.... IF I CHOOSE MIT I WILL DO A CHEMISTRY MAJOR... WHAT SHOULD I DO???

i think harvard is better in the sense is good(and many times excellent) in various majors...so if you change your idea of a major you will have no problem chosing it in harvard.
in mit its deeper in mathematics and business...
but as before it has been mentioned cross register...
ill chose harvard this time

They are both world-class schools. For someone who could manage to get acceptance to both, you sure sound a wee bit myopic. Look outside of the prestige and brands for a moment. You want to pursue biochem ---> harvard is most prolific in biochem research ---> they have a specified program ---> you can benefit from the programs "base" per se. my question is, do you want to concentrate on biochem, or concentrate on going to a particular school? attack the programs first, then get hung up on the schools. it's not like any one is gonna be like "oh my god, she gave up mit for harvard!" and if you're really stuck on mit, the schools do have a cross-registe program as "sauce" said.
