Out of all the ivies, i know that Yale has the best drama program- do any of you know what other ivies have a good theater program going? And also- does anybody know of some respectable colleges (for my safety schools) with distinguished Drama programs? Thanks so much.

Carnegie-Mellon has one of the top theater programs in the country. Theres a good-sized CMU community in LA, many grads drawn to the area by producer Steven Bochco, a CMU grad.

just thought of something:

if your school has a Thespian society, talk to the sponsor of the club (usually the drama teacher) not only can they give u suggestions, but he/she would also have acess to ITS (international thepian society) magazines. they publish one for students called "dramatics." every year dramatics ranks theatre programs at various schools. you can also look at their website: www.edta.org
