posted this on the nyu board but it seems to be dead, so...
stats:
-white male
-3.3 unweighted gpa (my school is supposedly top 10 in the country for public schools)
-take hardest classes including APs (weighted gpa would be somewhere like 3.9, but my school doesn't weight - doesn't rank either) - will have 9 APs by the time i graduate (three so far)
-mostly 4s on AP tests
-SATIIs - 750 writing, 720 IIC, 670 us history, 610 biology
-SATI - 1460 760M 700V
-do social science research and have won awards at competitions
-have 2 good recs from soc. teachers (one of these teachers got my brother into harvard with a rec a few years ago)
-play singles for my school's [very good] varsity tennis team. have a rec from my coach, who loves me
-a few clubs, but no leadership positions
-what i think is a good essay
yeah, i am lazy and have a pretty low gpa, but do you think i can get into nyu next year with these stats? i know my sat score should help me. i am a junior this year. thanks.
