Here are my stats; I need to improve A LOT before I can qualify for NWU. Please tell me what I should work on!

3.6 Un-weighted
3 APs this year (Eng, Spanish, bio)
4 or 5 APs next year
I've taken extra summer courses every summer.
1270 SATs (probably 1350 by next September)
Planning on taking SAT II: Math IIc, Biology, Writing and Literature
NHS (possible officer position next year)

On the American Red Cross Committee for my county.
Played JV soccer last year and will play again next year (had to skip this year)

I know it is not a lot of information to go by, but I need suggestions so I know what to improve on. I would really like to go for music. Please respond!

I don't know if this was posted before, but I wanted to add that I am Hispanic.

I would say that you look pretty good already, especially with the Hispanic thing. Are you 100% Hispanic?

By Gwendolyn on Monday, February 03, 2003 - 10:59 pm: Edit

yes, my mom and dad are hispanic and I didn't move to the U.S. until I was five.

What are the easiest schools or majors to get into at Northwestern?

By spunky on Thursday, February 06, 2003 - 06:32 pm: Edit

I don't know. I have heard that Northwestern is EXTREMELY challenging, accademically. I want to go for their journalism/music program.

Northwestern is great, but journalism schools are a waste of time and money. Major in something interesting and work on the paper wherever you end up
