Hi, I am a junior at a nice prep school in California. I am really anxious as to the whole college deal and really want to know whether I stand a chance at MIT (Sloan School)and some others?
Here goes:
SAT 1: 1500
800 M
700 V
SAT 2's: Math2c 770
Biology 770
Writing: 720
taken 4 AP's, gotten three 5's and one four
GRADES: gpa- 4.0 uw, 4.5 w
EXTRA Currics:
NFL- speech and debate- top 20 in the state (My biggest achievement)3 yrs
J-V Track, but participated in it (3yrs)
Editor in Chief- School Newspaper now, but participated in it 3yrs
VP AS (Asian Society)
JV X country now, but participated 2yrs
DESIRED SCHOOLS:
All on the top(of this page) including Berkeley and wharton.

SATs: fine
Grades/GPA: Excellent
ECs: not bad. But could be A LOT better (just take a look @ what some other ppl on this forum posted up, for example...).
I might say that you have a good shot @ MIT, but you dont seem to have much of a technical background. My friend got rejected because he didnt have a very techy background. Then again, what do i know? Not much; I'm just telling you all I know, so you draw the inferences.....

he wants to do business.
so just getting into berkeley is not enough, he has to get into HAAS, which is quite competitive.
But HAAS is one of the best undergraduate business programs BY FAR.

oooo..sorry forgot one thing..I interned at the Business Sector of a software engineering company..
