Hey how long do you guys study for a day? I mean, including reading, studying, anything for the brain. How much do you guys watch TV and play video games and take time out for family, art, sport?

Here's an interesting article:

From the looks of it, no one is "smart" anymore due to grade inflation.

Define smart:
Are you talking about those people who never study but get all A's? If so, I'm not on of them.

Intellect != Grades.
Grades + (1000 * Other Factors) = Intellect.
Please be specific. An example of this trivial concept would be stating "how do those of you are adapt at recieving exceptional academic markings spend your time?"

If you ppl are alluding to IQ, then you may find it helpful to check out the message board titled "does the SAT measure IQ" (Under the forum SAT Prep) as well as "Perfect People.."(which i beleive is either in this forum or the SAT one.

I get A's and it's not because I'm better than anyone else... I guess I am intelligent in some ways, but I study hard. I spend hours each day doing homework/studying... it's almost painful at times.

I think doing well on AP tests is a good indication of intellect...
| By incognito on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 - 11:14 pm: Edit |
why do you say that, JSwanz? And how exactly would you define intellect?

as y'all can see here, Matt's a little insecure about his grades.

I'm a pretty normal person. I play volleyball and run and do my homework most of the time. Do have the urge sometimes to slack off and go do something brainless like surfing the net or watching TV. All honors class, 4.0 GPA, 1/1010 rank as a junior. I don't spend a ton of the time studying. It's usually pretty pointless to read something over and over again.

I forgot to say I usually only spend 2-3 hrs a day on hw.
