I have a 1450 SAT, 96 avg., PSAT commendation award,
Editor-in-Chief of my school newspaper and an AP score of 5 on European History.
I attend a private school which does not offer AP courses and I was wondering if
colleges like Duke, Yale, and Georgetown would be impressed by my score on the
AP which I was not able to take a class for? Are my other numbers on target for
acceptance to these schools?

Is the private school Puritan? If yes, you have a shot at Duke.
For the other two schools, save the bucks to buy something pretty.
