So far, I'm considering applying to these schools my senior year: Northwestern, Amherst, Reed, Carleton, and U of Chicago.
I think that I have a good chance with Reed, but I'm not sure about the rest since they're all a bit more selective.
Anyways, here are my stats:
3.7 GPA unweighted
104 GPA weighted (I don't know the exact conversion)
Top 10% of my class
5 years of CNED (a French language program that gives students credit in French High Schools and makes them eligible to take tests like the Brevet and the French Baccalaureate)
1390 SATs
800 French SAT II
750 Writing SAT II
I will be taking the Chemistry SAT II and AP tests and expect to do very well on both
I will be taking the (easier) Math SAT II and hope to do very well on it
5 French AP test
5 Economics AP test
I will be taking the AP Physics B test next year, no clue how I will do
I head the Inquiry (like MUN) program at my school
I知 editor of the school newspaper
I知 in Junior Statesmen of America
I've been a varsity runner in X-Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track (made states in Outdoor + Indoor) for two years
I've worked as a concession/gate worker and lifeguard at a pool-type facility and as a waiter in a nursing home (but that lasted about two months because it wasn't working out)
I was on ski team for two years (quit it for indoor)
I played in the Orchestra for two years and just dropped it because of a conflict of interests
I知 Vice-President of the Spanish club
I知 a native of France and speak French fluently
I知 a Junior Mentor
I知 in NHS, going to run for a position, will hopefully get it
So that's my (boring) list of things I've done so far in high school. What do people think my chances are in the schools I mentioned? I'd really appreciate any insight.
