I don't think you can calculate a UC ID number (that is what your're asking about right?), but i remember the first few digits kind of look like my zip code #.

no no, theres this UC rating system.. where they take into acct your gpa and sats, and somehow use a formula to evaluate you academically.. i forget what to find it though

I have a question.
Does the UC only calculate 8 AP/Honors points into the GPA?
For example, say I had a possible 12 points on tap (6 AP/Honors classes), do they only use 8 and forgo the remaining 4?

Yes, but they only count sophomore and junior classes.

I do not think that the campuses have a uniform method of calculating honors/ap classes.

This is interesting. At the bottom of the page, click on the campus you are interested in, and you will see graphs of students admitted based on test scores and grades. I think is for 2002.
