Hello. I submitted my transfer application to USC this past filing period. I'm in a peculiar situation: I am currently attending a California community college (fall 03 was my 1st semester), but last year (my first year in college), I attended San Diego State (SDSU). I did pretty well @ SDSU: 3.8/3.91. But, I did surprisingly awful during my fall semester at the cc: 3.35!
I understand how competitive the Annenberg school is, especially for transfers. But, how much will my GPA this past fall jeopardize my chances? I heard that the avg. gpa for accepted transfer applicants was 3.6.
I also took some courses during the summer that might hurt my gpa as well: a B in a Multimedia course. Will USC factor in grades from courses that are not articulated (such as this multimedia course)?
As for ECs (not exactly stellar, but at least something): won a beauty pageant (i hate to call it that, but it was :/ ); SDSU forensics team - took home some trophies for persuasive speaking; involvement in student film productions; dj/assistant music director for college radio station.
