Hey, can people post stats for those who've applied early/regular to Rice?

My stats:

international student asking for financial aid

SAT: V:690 M:780

Math 2C:800 Physics:800 Chem:800 Biology:790 Writing:670

in the top 5% of graduating class of a very very competitive private high school rank:3-4/132

92.5 average - hardest courses taken at school, all the available APs (english, chem,bio,calculus BC, physics)

AP biology, chemistry and physics B all taken at junior year and got fives on all of them

attended a research program in biology in the summer in one of US's top ten universities

want to major in molecular biology

very good recs (one from a professor of a prestigious university), good essays, moderate ECs (piano,art, community service)

AMC 12 and AIME awards, AP scholar award

-3.97/4.33 GPA, unranked and toughest schedule

-1st singles varsity / co-captain tennis (96th in Midwest) ; varsity academic team ; math club ; president of chess club
-Holocaust Museum Tour Guide / ESL Assistant Teacher for spanish-speaking immigrants
-NM Semifinalist, AP Scholar, Spanish and math awards (AIME qualifier)
-A at Harvard Summer school Economics (w/ rec)
-great recs and essays ... etc.

Actually, I think i've got a lot of superficial stuff; your GPA and 5% rank will serve u very well. Plus, i didn't pick up an interview, which they might use against me. Rice has something like a 25% acceptance, so i don't think anyone knows what to expect...

I dont think they'll hold it against you
I dont have an interview because they did not have an alumni in my area and besides it was too late when I requested the interview
