ok, here is the layout

Sat 1:
V:620
M:660
Sat 2:
M2c:690
M1c:680
Chem:720
Writing: 540 :(

My UC Gpa is 3.5 (it is semi weighted. Those of us in California know what im sayin)

I have some good EC stuff like French Honnor society and lotsa clubs and an elected position or two.

I scored two 4's on Ap Chem and AP Comp Sci last year as a Junior, and this year i am taking AP: Physics, Calc, and French 4/5.

If it helps I have a brother already there in his third year, but some people say that doesn't matter anymore.

I applied under Pharmicology and as a backup, Comp Engineering. The same goes for UCSD. If I could get a figure on both that would be great, but I am most interested in my chances for SB. Thanx for the help

*** edit: Woot, got into UCSC today. If that means anythin for this. :) Im glad cuz it is the only one I have heard from thus far.

the writing might hurt you... but from what you're saying, it sounds like you might have some good ECs, which could definitely benefit you. my sister's also in her third year at ucsb, and she had REALLY low SAT scores, but a lot of ECs, and she got in, so who knows? I'd say you definitely have a good chance.

From the statistics I have seen, my Gpa is right at their average and my scores are still a little above. I also saw they admit 51% of the people who applied. So.... theoreticly i should get in :) but who knows...

I have really bad stats and my top choice is UCSB as well. I'm getting kinda nervous 'cause I haven't even heard from UCSC yet.

- 250+ hours of community service
- active member in 5 clubs (treasurer in one)
- tutor elementary students
- part time job about 14 hours a week
- high honors algebra GSE
- honors geometry, biology GSE
- recognition writing, reading GSE
- top 10 in Economics competition for FBLA
- Won governor's scholar award for 3 years

Sparkle, I didn't get an email. You have similar stats as me so you should have no problem gettin in. Go to their website and hunt for the admission status thing and it should tell you.
I have like almost the same EC stuff as you accept all that com service.
