How about me? I applied to
Princeton and Stanford, as reach schools.
U of Michigan (already in), and Wheaton College (the little one in Illinois) are my match schools.
What are my chances for Princeton and Stanford?

SAT I- Math 740
Verbal 750

SAT II- Math IIC 740
Literature- 760
Writing- 800

GPA- 4.03 (on a 4.0 scale with 5.0 weighting for AP classes)

Rank- 2 of 31

i've been in band forever (1st Alto sax in jazz band, band, worship team),
soccer forever,
vocal ensemble forever, drama all four years (lead first semester senior year)

I'm on National Honor Society, I'm a National Merit Finalist, and (i know it sucks, but i can't help it) Who's Who Among American high School Students for three consecutive years! Wow, can't you feel the honor?

I'm a white guy, (which doesn't help my chances), but i've lived in Bangladesh and Malaysia for most of my life.

I worked pretty hard on the essays, too.

so what do you think?

Great stats! I'm just curious, but how did you pick U of Michigan and Wheaton as your two matches? They are as different as can be! The only things they have in common are cold weather and being about 45 minutes from a major metropolis. I'm not being critical, both are very good schools, but why such a broad spectrum of choices?

okay, i cant be the only person who thought they spelled wharton wrong in the title, LOL

Maybe because they're talking about Wheaton College. Not the Wharton school of Business at Penn.

U of M because it's where my parents went, my family lives, and Wheaton because it's academically the best Christian college. And it's got the fourth-best food in the country.

i know they were, but when u see stanford and princeton in the title and something very similarly spelled to wharton u think they just spelled it wrong in a fit of excitement, disregard this, im bored

What school do you go to?

By Amarsn (Amarsn) on Monday, March 01, 2004 - 06:58 am: Edit

The little American school in penang... Moderators, am i allowed to say that?

Anyways, if you're from ISKL, unless i've played against you in something, you wouldn't know my school.

You're a crapshoot like many other students at P and S. Good luck.

Hopefully, you can show the schools how unique your life was through your essays, because living in Bangladesh and malaysia certainly isn't somethimg typical.

I'm going to have to go with a big positive for your chances to Wheaton. Hope you decide to go there. Wheaties '08 !!!
