im in a class called Academic Decathlon (an elective) and i didnt make the team
along with 3 other ppl in my class
so liek now theres absolutley nothing to do in that class for us
but we still have to study the same amount as the ppl who r goin to state! EVEN THO WE RNT
the other ppl who didnt make the team r droppin the class (one of which got accepted ED to rice)
and so i was wondering
i got in ED to NYU
so if i dropped
would my offer be rescinded?
( i have more than 32 credits since freshman yr)so i think thats enuff credits to show im not a slacker right??

On one hand, I'd say don't drop Academic Decathlon because there's so much to learn, even if you didn't make the team. I'm on a team from WA state (where we have to BEG people to join the team, even though we usually do go to Nationals), and I love studying just for the joy of it. On the other hand, who wants to be in a class where you feel like an outsider? (I assume that's what you're feeling.) Go ahead and drop Acadec if you want, and replace it with an academic class. NYU will not rescind you, I'm pretty sure. Better yet, call the admissions office and ask.
