Hey, I'm a junior
Just wondering, do I have a change to get into BU, BC, or Babson with the following grades:
I live outside of mass.
SAT: 1340 700M/640V
but my GPA is poor: 3.1-3.2
Member of a few clubs, did a few sports, doing volenteer work over the summer. Any chance for me?

You should get into BU. BC isn't ULTRA selective, a lot of people get in with 1200 SAT's. Your SAT is right near the average. ( I think it's 1360) You have a good shot of getting in. Babson, I have no idea, sorry.

From the comments on this board, BC would be a reach based on your grades. Also check out Northeastern. I would the us news online college ratings check out 'selective' and 'more selective' colleges in the Boston Metro area. There are lots of colleges out there - especially in Boston.

Try Bentley. I heard Babson was cut-throat and had no social life. BC would be a far reach, and BU would be a semi-reach.
Bentley has a beautiful campus, good academics, and they put a lot of emphasis on developing well rounded students who'll succeed in the business world.
If you want to major in business, you have to remember that you'd need to get into the business undergraduate schools at BU and BC, and their u.g. b-schools are both very selective.

I don't see BC as a far reach, I was just at a fair talking to one of their admissions officers and she told me I had a decent shot. My SAT's are almost the same, and my unweighted GPA is almost the same as well. Granted my weighted is much higher, but those aren't the only things that get you into BC.

Thanks for the feedback
Well, I am planning on majoring in Business.
I guess Ill have to take the SAT's again (seriously, it sucks to wake up at 7 on a Sat morning, but you all know that)
Just wondering, does the first marking period of your Senior year appear on your college transcript?
So Babson is that bad socially? As for Bentley, Ill look into it.
Any slight advantages since I was born in Europe? hehe..
