hey i was wondering if college inflate GPA's at all. because i go to a difficult private school and the highest GPA in my grade is apparently around 3.8 , which seems low for the highest GPA. this is because of the courseload & difficulty level of the school. i have around a 3.5 GPA but am taking 9 APs in all. will colleges see this as affectling my GPA significantly positively? thanks

yes, dont be an idiot, of course colleges look at the difficulty of the high school.

ok so more bluntly...will colleges actually convert the GPA's to a weighted avg. or to the college standard method of calculating GPAs?

Colleges look more closely at class rank...your 3.5 GPA at your school could mean you're 2/500 or 20/100. How many people in your school have a GPA > 3.5, and how many people are there in your class?
