hey guys, I just want to figure out my chances of getting into UCSD with my current stats:
3.7 weighted (upward trend to the tune of 3.0f, 3.5s, 4.25/4.5j) dont know about a-g gpa however.
AP calculus sophmore (3 on test) AP physics, history. Senior year will take ap english, gov't,
National Merit Scholar
International Science Fair Participant
1450 SAT (800/650) I will take it again, maybe bump it up 50 or so (i hope)
SATII R 760 MII 800 will take physics 720 Japanese
student gov't treasurer freshman and senior years
Baseball 4 years (all league, captain etc.)
~200 voulenteer hours at the local astronomy club
(member since age 8)
good recs, wrote about hardships of single parent with grandparent :P
I am asian (damn!) but was born in Japan and made the trip when i was 4. Low income/single parent living with grandmother.
what about the other UCs? because of my GPA i think that UCLA/Berkley might be a bit of a reach.

Compute your a-g GPA so we can better answer your question. That is all the UC's will look at in terms of GPA. However, your SAT I and II scores look great for UCSD - but again, it will depend on your UC GPA.
