In my opinion, I think that Stanford and Cal Tech are more superior than Ivy league schools. What do you think about Cal Tech and Stanford? How do you compare them to Ivy Leagues? What do you think about non-top colleges? Where do they stand in the admission pool?

Cal Tech, MIT, and Stanford are above all the Ivy Leagues except for Princeton, Harvard and Yale. But the other three are still compatible. Some have advantages over another. For example, if you were going to the field of Chemical Engineering like me, you'd much rather got to Cal Tech than Harvard. The same principle applies if you wanted to go into Political Science or Business/Economics meaning you should go to Harvard instead.

Many people think that Stanford can not compete with Ivy Leagues. I think that they are totally wrong. In fact, Stanford is better than most Ivy, even Columbia and Yale. Cal Tech ranks number 1 now.
