Please give me your honest opinion of my chances at UVA, UNC, vanderbilt, william and mary, mary washington, richmond, and emory with these stats:
Ohio Resident
3.5 GPA unweighted
Mostly honors classes
AP US - 5
AP Euro - 5
AP bio - 4
in 3 ap classes senior year
1400 SAT (690 verbal, 710 math)
31 ACT
SAT 2 writing 720, math IC 690, Bio 710, US hist 700
-plenty of extracurriculars, letters, work exp. etc. and good recs and essays
-competitive Private school does not rank in class of 78

Your SAT II scores very good as are your AP scores. They might make up for your GPA and courseload. Are a lot more AP classes available? If so, then you won't be as impressive. Assuming you don't live in state, I don't think you have a chance at William and Mary. For Emory, you have a good chance and for Vandy, you have a very good chance too. I'm not familiar with the other schools.

UVA--Out of state? Doubt it.
UNC--Out of state? No.
Vanderbilt--Good chance.
W and M--Out of state? No.
Mary Washington--Definitely.
Richmond--Definitely.
Emory--Good chance.

hmm, i'd have to take out very for the chances at vandy. emory and vandy both had pretty high acceptance rates last year, but looking at your courseload in combo with your gpa again...and also considering that those rates will probably change this year....
uva and unc are hard to get into out of state like william and mary, so benjamin is probably right there too.
